TCM After-school Programs
Don Valley Bible Chapel has partnered with Toronto City Mission (TCM) to offer after-school programs to families in our neighbourhood. TCM is a Christ-centred organization that transforms lives by building preventative programs, building relationships, and building leaders. Through this partnership, we hope to provide a place where lives are touched by Christ’s love and where the community can find hope and belonging.
Kids in Community
Kids in Community (KIC) is an after-school program designed for kids in grades 1 to 6 to spend their time in a safe environment engaged in positive activities. Including games, sports, snacks, stories, Bible teachings, and crafts. Children also receive homework help to encourage them in their academic studies.
EPIC Tutoring
EPIC (Education Provided In Community) is an after-school tutoring program designed with the children’s spiritual, relational, and academic lives in mind. Each child in this program is intentionally paired with a volunteer tutor who is screened to be a good match for the student. Through this pairing, each volunteer tutor has the opportunity to build a meaningful relationship with a child in need, and help provide enhanced learning, a Christ-centered academic mindset, and a way to rise above the challenges they face. The result is enhanced learning, identification of needs, and a step towards building a community of hope.
